OUR STORY

THE BRAND

I am a child of nature I have always been pulled towards the sea. Nature had always been my muse and mentor. I always deliver my paintings in such a way that the people who receive them come a bit closer to nature, inhale it’s wonder, savor that same joy which keeps me alive all the time. I always wanted that one thing that can define me and my work, well cosmos traced my path and lead me to the oceans, and that was love at first sight, the depth, the hues of blue, the waves encircling the effervescence, that serenity and calm I felt near the waters just placed my heart in the right place. That is when I decided to make anything that could even express the beauty of seas and oceans to the slightest extent. The never ending love I have for ocean and that inspired me to start OCEANA I use a variety of medium like resin, oil, acrylic stones and shells to create these ocean pieces Spending my days working as a professional artist painting and making ocean inspired piece,is a dream come true and I sometimes still can't believe it; it feels surreal! It is all thanks to the love and support of my family,, and every customer who has invested in welcoming my artwork into their home.

THE ARTIST

Well, people who scrolled through my feed now must have got an idea that art is my life and it’s true. I breathe art. Oops !! sorry, let me introduce myself first. I am Shruti Shrivastava and I am an ocean artist. I always had been so passionate about art that it never confined me to take up courses or get a degree in fine arts. I just followed my curiosity step by step, teaching myself how to paint. I am more into an experimental approach to learning the art. And in that process, I failed numerous times, but my patience never gave up and I learned everything bit by bit, slowly and steadily.
Let me brief you about this journey of mine. I did my graduation in interior designing from Indore and worked up in my places as the same. I was in Banglore, again working as an interior designer when I realized I have to do more, because as good as was the present work, it didn’t satisfy me, so I started making paintings and started a new small business named ’Jharoka’, which sold all the unique antiques for interior décor, it did me gave me a headstart, yes, but I still felt a void that was urging me to fill it. I started making commissioned paintings and featured them on my Instagram. The response was overwhelming, and by the grace of almighty, I had found my thing at last. All this while, I had my ups and downs, but when you love your work like that, there is no stopping. So here I am, making art, doing what I love the most.
